| Details | Our client, a well-established and New Zealand owned pharmaceutical manufacturer based in Auckland. Despite the economic turmoil of the last 18 months, the pharmaceutical industry in NZ has remained buoyant and with the recession behind us, our client needs quality staff across their team to support their growing operation. On this basis we are seeking a Senior Laboratory Analyst to join their QC team. Reporting to the Quality Manager, this is a hands-on testing role where a significant amount of your time will be involved in method validation and product testing using HPLC. However, you will also need to bring with you experience in a broad range of other analytical tests and you will need to have strong knowledge (and experience) in working within a cGMP/GLP environment. In a position where timely communication between departments means the difference between hitting and missing deadlines, you will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be self motivated to meet your deadlines. You will have a good working knowledge of the US, European and British Pharmacopoeias. The successful candidate will ideally possess the following attributes: • Tertiary qualification in a science field, preferably Chemistry or Biochemistry • Minimum of 5 years practical experience working in a pharmaceutical laboratory • Minimum of 3 years HPLC experience – both sample testing and method validation • Able to work as part of a team • Excellent communication and organisational skills • Good report writing skills • Initiative and the ability to work unsupervised This is an excellent opportunity to work for a reputable company. |
