| Details | Our client, a well-established food-processing company is looking to appoint an experienced microbiologist with several years experience to join its Hawke’s Bay team. Leading a team of two microbiologists you, the incumbent, will be responsible for providing both leadership and hands-on experience to ensure that the laboratory performs a broad spectrum of the microbiological testing on the full range of the company’s products, and in a timely manner. Additionally, they will be an integral member of the company’s Food Safety Program and be responsible for budget management, report development and regular auditing. The successful candidate must possess the following attributes: • Tertiary qualification in Microbiology or equivalent • Relevant experience working within the food, dairy, brewery of pharmaceutical industries • Some previous leadership or supervisory experience • Several years practical experience working in an IANZ accredited microbiological laboratory preferred (though not essential) • Strong quality assurance skills including experience with GMP and HACCP • Be a strong and influential communicator and team player • Good report writing skills • Initiative and the ability to work unsupervised • Deliver results within tight deadlines This is an excellent opportunity to work for one of New Zealand’s top food manufacturing companies. |
